About Simon
I have been involved in competitive cycling as a coach and a racer for the past 20 years. To this day I still have the same passion for the sport of cycling - whether it is riding my bicycle or coaching other cyclists - as I did the very first day I began racing back in 1987 at the young age of 12 years old.

In my teenage years my father was my coach and coach to many top Olympic track and road cyclists. My father was always researching the latest scientific training methods in cycling, running, and strength training, and incorporating them in his training plans. We spent many hours discussing and implementing new training techniques and research with much success. I went on to win many national titles on the road and the track as a kid, and began my own coaching career back in 1992 while racing as a junior.

I dedicated 18 years to my own racing career. During this time I raced 6 years professionally, won two pro national road titles, and raced in big international races with many of the world’s best professional cyclists. In my final few years of racing professionally I became responsible for designing my teammates training plans. This naturally led me to my current career as a full-time professional cycling coach.

As a racing cyclist I was always known as a rider who could lift his game for an important race. As a coach I have developed a similar reputation of having the ability to help the athletes I coach make significant and rapid improvements and peak for their major objectives. Some have gone on to win World Championship medals and become National Champions.

Today Simon Says Cycling combines a wealth of experience with a very high level of individual attention and caring for each person we coach. We believe that helping others achieve their true potential – whether they are recreational cyclists or competitive racers – is as much about caring, guiding, motivating, and instilling self confidence, as it is about writing the perfect training plan.
